Lonely, misunderstood and
ridiculed, the Mee Pok Man runs an all night fish ball noodle stall
in a notorious part of Singapore. His partons are a motley assortment
of characters. Among them is Bunny, a disillusioned prostitute and her
villainous pimp. A bizarre love story unfolds between Bunny and the
Mee Pok Man which culminates in unexpected tragedy. MEE POK MAN is a
critical look at Singapore society as well as a moving portrait of obsession
and love.

interiors
GARY DAUPHIN, VILLAGE VOICE
"StrikingÉBizarreÉKhooÕs
pulsating score and direction stand in marked contrast to the stultifying
modernity and uniformity of repressive Singapore. One can only hope
for more discoveries like Eric Khoo."
