DIARY OF A SEDUCER is a philosophical comedy about seduction and romantic infatuation. Set in contemporary Paris, DIARY OF A SEDUCER follows the adventures of Claire Conte (Chiara Mastroianni) who becomes obsessed with a fellow student after he lends her a rare copy of Kierkegaard's early 19th century novel, "Diary of a Seducer." This book possesses an aphrodisiac power which renders its readers lovestruck with the lender of the book. Mixing genres and moods and defying audience expectations, the film is a constant suprise and ingenious delight. The director, Ms. Dubroux,was an editor of Cahiers du Cinema for almost ten years.
